Consulting your physician prior to any group exercise program is highly recommended For your comfort, please bring a sweat towel, drink bottle and wear comfortable clothing to all classes. GROUP EXERCISE Pilates A class that focuses on strengthening the body's core (torso) to stabilise the back and body. Improve posture, flexibility and great for injury prevention. Classes run for 60 minutes with the exception of Monday and Wednesday 12.05pm and Wednesday 8.30pm that run for 75 minutes. Please note: This class is not recommended for pregnant women. Please seek the advice of your health care practitioner prior to commencement. Resistance Pilates This matwork class incorporates the elastic "Theraband" which effectively simulates the spring resistance of the Pilates Reformer. This added resistance will tone and sculpt your arms, legs, back and torso, whilst promoting deeper muscular stretches and enhanced flexibility. All levels catered for. Classes run for 55 minutes. It is advised that pregnant women and those with sustained back injuries do not participate in the class without the consent of their health care practitioner. Suitable for beginners.
Circuit This class is a great way to tone the whole body with specialist resistance equipment in a friendly and motivating group environment. Each class incorporates a warm up, followed by a series of exercise stations targeting strength and abdominal work, ending with a stretch and cool down. Circuit classes provide real physical benefits, a great total body workout and an ideal strength-training solution for users of all experience and fitness levels. PRYME MOVERS All classes under the Pryme Movers banner are for participants aged 50 plus. The classes are specifically designed in various levels to ensure over 50’s can achieve and improve personal fitness goals at their own pace through low impact cardio vascular work, strength and stretching activities. Tri Movers An exciting workout designed to cover all aspects of fitness. Starting with a low impact warm up, moving onto step platforms, then tone the body with hand weights finishing with abdominals and stretching. This class provides a great all round workout.
A class designed for participants who do not wish to do floor work. Includes low impact exercises, chair based flexibility and stretching work. Combined with weights exercises, this class is a great workout for both cardiovascular and strength training. Combo Movers Variety is the spice! This class is for the participant who wants a surprise each week. Our instructor will choose two or three elements from low impact, step, resistance bands, weights, balls, abdominal exercise and stretching. This session gives an overall body workout in both strength training and aerobic fitness.
Strength Movers This class is designed to strengthen the whole body with the use of weights and chairs. Weights work is ideal to assist in the prevention of osteoporosis. Balance Movers This specialised class is for those who have balance and strength needs. The session consists of balance work, strength training, flexibility and stretching. There are some chair based exercises. Circuit Movers Circuit classes are a great way to tone the whole body with specialist resistance equipment in a group environment. A warm up is essential followed by a series of exercise stations, then abdominal work ending with a stretch and cool down.
Iron Man Iron Man classes are designed specifically for men to work on strength training of the whole body. The classes are in the form of a circuit workout with machinery or free weights training. Each session finishes up with core strength exercise, a stretch and cool down.
